Been on here for a bit, and was in cambridgeshire, but been posted(forces) to tidworth, which nicely backs onto the salisbury plain. Just wondering if there are any guys/girls in the area, or anything like that. I'm running a WR450f but in supermoto trim, as my offroad wheels need new tyres.

Wil.

Loads of trail riding and TRF members about...look for Wilts Group.

If it's dry you should be able to do most of the route on and around the plain on your SM wheels...that's if you don't see enough of the place in your 'day' job.

But there are also lots of lovely routes in the rest of Wiltshire and Dorset too: Wiltshire's are easiest to find as they are nearly all clearly signed on the ground and shown as BOATs on the OS maps.

There's a hilarious UCR going west from Weymouth along the coast, slowly being engulfed by shingle in the long-shore drift from Chesil Bank. You end up riding though an ever-deepening bed of pebbles.

Enjoy!

NB: there's A TRF-member owned business in your area who will do you a deal on tyres locally (name escapes me)...or failing that Vee Rubber enduro tyres are cheap and perform as well as other brands of tyres. Grippy rather then durable. Gear4 in Market Deeping used to sell them mail order/internet...and probably still do.
