Session timeout aka logging in and out

may i enquire what phpbb3 version the site is running, older versions have problems with the newer browsers. Current version should be 3.0.12

Hi all,
as part of the prep to move the site, membership system & forum to a new server I've had to do a lot of hacking to get things to run.
Out of that comes another attempt at solving the "staying logged" in problem which some users find frustrating.
I have made a change, please let me know if you now stay logged in for much longer, i.e. more than one hour reported by some previously.

If this works it will only work logging in via the forum, not logging in via the website and then coming to the forum. I will fix that when we move servers.

I surprised and pleased in equal measure to find myself logged in already when I came here after work this morning, and still logged in after sleeping most of the day when I returned later.

I can't get much to work on my pc!
It slowly loads the main Board but opening any section just gets a blank screen, including new posts or my posts.
Is it just me?
