You have to be a TRF member, not just signed to the forum, to send a pm.

Was the subject of this thread a TRF member?

And if he was would the TRF helped in the prosecution?

What would have been the outcome if the Farmer had died instead? The riders would have been"let off"?

:?: :?: :?:

Shouldn't make any difference.

The important thing is surely wether they are a trailbiker?

Not being a TRF member in Sussex is in all probability because TRF has a very low profile - many trailbikers haven't heard of the TRF.

Just to highlight the lack of logic in the network of lanes in the area....

Forty acre lane starts as BOAT in Hamps then ? maybe becomes a RB in W Sx - not easy to find out as W Sx doesn't have an accurate online ROW map

http://www.sabre-roads.org.uk/maps/inde ... 1,-0.92457,

it's on Hamps LoS as well to the county boundary.

Seems I've identified some potential illegal off roading as the google car has driven the entire length of it:

So far as I know, none of the riders concerned was a TRF member.

I have given the gent who posted on here some advice by PM, which may help the cause of justice.

That is what I was wondering. If ever there was a cause that the TRF should get involved with it should be this in my opinion.

Sorry Mark I was not suggesting that this might be a cause for the TRF. It's nothing to do with the TRF.....my question if it had been a member would/should the Trf help and why second question was what would have the outcome if the Farmer had died.

In respect to the second question the outcome would have been the same.....thevriders would have been done.

This case cannot be as simple as it looks so apart from expressing sympathy to those involved.

Which I do whole heartedly.

We have to look at the overall situation and that is Motorcyclists and maybe trail riders in particular come lower even than Gypsy criminals and are we the members of the TRF going to do about it?

We need to get back to the vision of the AAman on his motorcycle being considered as a Knight of the Road in the 40's and 50's. That is a big mountain to climb and until we realise this and stop thinking it's not me I am talking about we are dead men walking as far as Trail Riders is concerned.

Found on the KTM forum:

Gary's wife asked me to post this for her.

Thank you all so much for your support. It's so evidently clear that there has been a gross miscarriage of justice, and the clear and evident fact that the law and this country don't give a damn about my husband, but seem intent on protecting a callous and devious individual who's deliberate actions took an amazing man's life from him. I don't know how just yet but I intend to continue to fight for my husband, fight for his rights and for the rights of those unfortunate people who sadly will lose their life in similar circumstances in the future. The law as they say indeed is an ASS, and yes we do need to stand up and be heard and people like Wolfe do need to be held accountable for their actions. Deliberate or not, you don't and cannot take the law into your own hands and kill a person. Why would two police teams who never work together, join forces for 16 months and work tirelessly along with the CPS to bring a man to trial if there wasn't a valid reason. This is the reason I and my family have taken a back seat for 16 months. Hampshire police worked so hard to bring him to trial, the main fight being the legal leapholes because of private/public land. But that said from day one, no matter what led the guys to be here, no matter what happened before, his actions at the end of the day were the reason Gary took his last ever breath. The jury don't get to know anything about the past 16months, the jury don't get to hear about Gary. They just get to hear about "Wolfe's" past good character. They, after all the evidence from the forensic team and the vehicle and traffic speed specialists decided that "he" was not driving in a wanton and furious manner. Despite the fact he stood in the dock and admiited driving into Gary, yes he was following them, he was chasing them, he deliberately drove into Gary. If he wasn't driving like a maniac they wouldn't have tried to get away from him!!!!!! But 12 soulless individuals made a decision to say that what he did was fine. I for one hope that every single one of those twelve individuals never ever sleep soundly again for the rest of their days. One defence Barrister got the "last word" - as usual the perpetrator and his team get the upper hand. The last words the jury heard was the viscious, vindictive and violent accusing words of the defence barrister. Basically calling every single guy "scum". Why, because they were all on two wheels. The best years of my life have been spent on two wheels, the most amazing people I have ever had the good fortune to meet ride on two wheels, This forum itself speaks volumes, We all have a right to enjoy our lives and we all have a right to do what we want as long as we keep it legal and don't harm anyone. Unless of course your names Timothy Edward Wolfe. I set up a memorial fund for Gary to raise funds for Macmilan Cancer Care. Last August we arranged the first Gary Greaves Memorial ride with the VRCCUK bike club. I am palnning to organise another, but if you guys want to go ahead and do something I'm right behind you. You want to arrange a mass protest, again I'm with you all the way. I wouldn't be able to go anywhere near where Gary took his last breath, but I'd be proud to wave you off and I'd be prouder still to be waiting to greet you all on your return.
Carol
