Surrey TRF were absolutely sickened recently by the obvious lack of appropriate knowledge when councillors are faced with the task of voting on the making of a TRO.
They preferred to take their lead from the biased view point of a known anti MPV County Councillor, than be guided by the dedicated Rights Of Way team.
We think this is a flawed system, so if you also agree, please take a couple of minutes to sign our petition to get the system altered.
Please go to,

http://petitions.surreycc.gov.uk/Rights-Of-Way/#
We think with enough signatures we can change the system.
Thank you for your time.
Mike

Not sure what's gone wrong, but the link has stopped working, and I can't find the petition amongst the list on the site

I thought we had a democratic society. Well sort of, anyway.
I hope they have a good reason as it seemed perfectly justifiable and fair.

Is there another way of getting a petition for us all to sign? I feel cheated that I got to it too late.

I Have a funny feeling that only residents of Surrey can submit to a petition by Surrey Council and that the democratic services department never set up a filter by which us 'outsiders' would be kept 'out'

of course i may be totally wrong

So, here's the reason for the take down of the petition.
Of slightly more interest is the fact that no other petitions have been effected.
That'll be when the impetus has perhaps gone from the campaign then will it.

Dear Mike

Thank you for your email. Your e-petition was withdrawn through a technical error and we are now working with My Society to retrieve it.

We will keep you informed of progress.

Kind regards
Janice
