There has to be a way of stopping these little toe-rags putting their porn links up on the here. I'm far from a prude but I can't think that it does us any good at all to have pictures like that appearing on the TRF site. I'm also far from being technically competent so I don't know how it's done but I would be happy to beat the living daylights out of them if you can find 'em!

There are automated spam bots out there roaming the internet that log on to forums automatically and post their links up.

There was a similar problem with the TBM forum a while back.

They can be stopped, but it means a more elaborate registration process with a time delay.

So we can't beat up a Spam Bot then?

I think it needs the moderators to be more active and to shut this rubbish down as soon as it appears.

One of the good points of the old forums was that bots/spammers could not get in.

On the East Midlands web site forum http://emtrf.co.uk/ I use this CAPTCHA code, as I can no longer verify members using thiee membership details.
