That's a good question...all of the above, but differant in each county. I enjoy Wales, except for the lack of waymarking in many areas...and it is putting me off going up there again. There loss.

Clearly none of you guys have ever been up North.

Ever tried the Peak District, North Yorks Moors or Yorkshire Dales?

If not, you should try it - it may just change your opinion of "best ride in the UK"

Cheers

Strong Right Leg

Oh, by the way, I AM Yorkshire based!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, has to be Yorkshire (Dales & Moors) and the Peak District.

Well I'd have to admit that the Peak District would definitely be near the top of my list it's got just about everything.

Quantity, quality, easy lanes, hard lanes, fantastic scenery and it's just about within day trip distance of home.

Mind you Cambridgeshire is a lot better than some who've never been might think. Sure there are no hills but if you believe the government figures ( 8-) 8-) 8-) ) it boast the second highest milage of Byway per highway authority in the country.

Second that is to Wiltshire.

And thats one government figure which I wouldn't dispute.

Cheers

Richard
