hi
i have just joined trf but im struggling to find my way around
i was hoping for some info on open lanes near me in the north
i have been green lane exploring for a good few years with 4x4s but have had a brake for around 3 years and now getting back into it but with two wheels
i used to have access to trailwise ect but that will have ran out by now
i was under the impression that trf issued you a pass code to get the full advantage of trailwise
and is there any new improved sights to confirm on updated status of byways boats ect

Hello and welcome from East Sussex

Mainly a great bunch on here, and yes once you get your membership through you will get a key code to Trailwise.

Personally I dont use it as can not guarantee its accuracy

Your local council may well have an online map of ROW routes.

Trust a few on here will give you a friendly welcome from Yorkshire and invite you out and to meet up with their group, which you will have selected when you joined.

The membership secreatary will send all your details out to you by post, but if you click on the TRF banner at the top of the page you will find a list of Contacts to follow up depending how long you have been waiting.

All are volunteers, so will take a short while.

Welcome again, as I sade this key code which will allow you to zoom in to gretaer detail is not necessary correct, hence local contacts and your local council ROW maps

hi from the north there is another resource available on the north Yorkshire county council website and heres how to access it
1/type in NYCC
2/click on transport and streets
3/click on roads and pavements
4/click on records and searches
5/about 9 lines down the page in blue are the words "electronic map of road network"
a map will open up clickon the legend on the right and make sure only the road network is ticked then look for unclassified roads on the map marked in green
as you click on an individual ucr the details of road number length and grid ref comes up
on ordinance survey most will appear on the landranger as red dots and on the explorer as green dots in the key they aredescribed as
Other Public Rights of Access OPRA
keep an eye out for a beginers run I am help organise in the area

Well it’s now been 20 days since i paid and still nothing
I’m not impressed to be honest
I’ve been driving off road for some years and it still baffles me as to why the closed routs are such a well kept secret
