Hi All,

Can anyone help with some gpx routes for the Peak district area please?

At the moment i'm ride out leader for Loddon Vale TRF but moving to Peak District in the new year hopefully.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Grant

I'll happily show you round when you move up here. I'm sure others will offer too.

Typical response above.
TRF are so precious about "their" routes.

Pm me your email address and I'll send you loads.
Of course, I'm happy to show you around too!

Did I miss something in here?

Has a post been deleted?

I too would happily show someone around my area but I don't have any files I could share.

Morning Grant

You'd be welcome to join us (Cambridge Group) when we go up.
We try and get up there generally about once a month.
In the summer I ride up and use my big bike, so the route is more gentle.
I can send you some .GPX routes for big bike friendly and routes that are a bit more technical.

Also have a look here:-

and here for the TROs:-

Bit of a churlish response?!
He's offered to lead - happy days surely?
Perhaps he doesn't have any .GPX files and rides by knowledge and memory, or even uses OS maps.

Wasn't aware the TRF had or shared routes.

That'll be down to the individual.

Thanks, and correct. I don't have GPX routes for the Peaks. It's my back yard and I've ridden the black roads for 40 years. Only green lanes for almost four years but I learned them pretty quickly and never really needed to plot them on my GPS.
The few who know me would be amused to see me classed as "the TRF". However, we're all guilty of jumping to conclusions on insufficient evidence and no harm done.
