I read in the latest publicity blurb that a Dutchman had come to the UK "to ride for the first time offroad." There was me thinking that we only ride on roads that are not metalled on which we are legally entitled which leads to confusion where we really do ride. We might know, but leads to the impression that we ride on footpaths, bridlepaths or private land. That is Offroad!!! If we cannot use the correct terminology how can expect others such as those in power to understand what we do??
