Post subject:  Hello from Surrey

Hi My name is Fred and I am a Trail rider. I have tried to give it up but I just can't. Really never know what to say in these forum intros, but that I have ridden or driven Green lanes in Surrey for nearly thirty years now. Occasionally go with friends but as I seem to be doing more of it now, my mates seem to be doing less, so I need to find other like minded individuals to go laning with. At the moment I have a 1980 KL 250 twin shock. It is in good mechanical condition but battered and old, a bit like me and as ugly as f......, just the way I like it. Will be going to the Surrey meets at the British Legion in Ripley, to meet other like-minded misguided souls. And to do some lanes.
Hope to see you all soon.

Hi and welcome Fred, Surrey TRF is a very active group but most of the runs get listed on the Surrey TRF forum https://forum.surreytrf.org.uk/search.p ... ive_topics rather than on here. Check it out if you haven't already.

Monthly meet at Ripley is on the 4th Tuesday I think.

Mart

FYI, the username confirmation can take a couple days, since the admin is done by volunteers. Be patient... Have you joined the TRF? There is a novice Rideout on Saturday starting at Bocketts.

Fred,

I will be leading a ride around the Surrey Hills on Saturday 13th. You will be very welcome t join us.

Aimed at novice/beginner riders we will ride the local lanes, hopefully give you a few useful tips on the way and maybe even a bit of run leading practice. Plenty of rest stops and pace to suit novices.

Meet at Bocketts Farm to leave at 0930, circular route to Newlands Corner for lunch then return to Bocketts for around 1530/1600.

Please come with fuel and a well prepared bike.

Room for four riders.

Hi Scruffy ,
Yep joined the TRF last month so can message on here for now.

Only been out once on the lanes with 'off the kerb' now have my own bike so looking forward to learning the routes round Surrey.

Would have liked to join one of the runs this weekend from Bocketts but have to go down to Devon for the weekend but if anyone is doing one on the 20th or 21st would be interested in joining it ?
