Hello, I have just joined the TRF. I am based on the north oxon/south northants border and have been riding road bikes for 38 years (an alarming figure when you see it written down!). As the use of my road bikes is really a sunny day thing for me these days I have decided to get into doing a bit of muddy stuff so I can extend my riding throughout the year.
As a lover of both the countryside and motorcycles it seems this is the logical place to be!
I want to do a bit of green laning and perhaps a foray into the world of enduro (I am a stones throw from Enduroland at Chacombe) and have just got myself a tidy 03 XR400R which I have not even had time to actually ride more than a few hundred yards on the day I bought it.
I have spent the last few weeks kitting myself out with the required equipment and a mate and I are off to Wales this weekend to be tought the black art of off road riding at the "Mick Exctance ultimate off road experience".
Looking forward to meeting up with some of you chaps soon and having some fun on my new toy.
