I have just found this event on the internet here: http://www.enduro-neec.org.uk/calendar.php It might be of intrest to some one wanting a ride without road work.
On the 7th of June, the North Riding Enduro Cub have a limited number of places for you, to enjoy riding around the scenic grounds of a country house estate, near Bedale in North Yorkshire.
When you arrive at the "THORPE Hare and Hounds" you drive into a lush parkland, dotted with mature oaks and chestnut. Unload your bike for an 11am start. Better still, arrive early enough to take advantage of a "Sighting Lap" of the course from 9.30, before the main event gets underway at 11.00 am.
The cost of entry won't break the bank either at £40 and if you need a day license, the club are dishing these out at half price (£5) to promote ACU events in the area. For this the maximum entry, of 150 bikes get to ride two and a half hours, around five separate, and contrasting woods, joined together by a variety of tracks. Only a non profit making organisation, could give you this level of exclusivity- courses for enthusiasts, set by enthusiasts! See you there….
