Let's go back to my original post - what is the plan for the forum?

Just quickly commenting as we are slightly drifting as is the way.

The main issue I see is not the use of the forum but in providing an up to date forum.

The forum would be available to all members and non members?. It is not a group issue but a national issue.

I have been watching this thread from the beginning, and choose not to post for numerous reasons. This is as frustrating for me as it is apparently for some of you.

Instead of responding to individual comments in this thread, the majority of which I completely support and agree with, I have instead created a new thread to provide an IT update. The matter of the forum is contained in Section 4 and Appendix B of the document within my update.

I hope you will find it of interest and constructive.

I agree with red, it is not a group issue but a national one.
Being part of a group isn't compulsory, as such, even if you are aligned to one.
Any member should be able to raise questions directly with the national officers without 'permission' from a group.

If we still run with loads of local group fora, we are still fragmented and no one will be aware of what anyone else is doing. I thought reintegration was part of the plan.

Mike - thank you for your detailed posts, which I shall have to read later, but what I've read so far gives me a good level of optimism.
