XR200R-D (American import)
Owned by me since 1990. We've been through a lot together, but new project & lack of space forces sale. Not run in the last 10 years (it has been sat in my sons garage). So it has had a mild restoration (engine stripped own and re-assembled, carb / petrol tank cleaned throughly and a cosmetic tidy-up). Started second kick - typical Honda build quality.
The bike is very tidy and will make a great trail bike / vintage enduro.
A couple of small niggles (bear in mind it is 31 years old) - there is some wear on the front output shaft splines and the kickstart ratchet is slightly worn (it can slip from time to time). I am mentioning these as I want to be totally honest. they do not stop the bike being used, they are just part of its character
All parts are still avaialable from Honda.
It has had the forks rechromed, seat re-foamed & recovered, the frame & swingarm powdercoated and a top end refresh not long before being stored.
There is no T&T and it may need a bit of 'tweaking' just to get the carburation right after its hibernation, but starts ok and idles fine when warm. If I was keeping it I would stick a new pilot jet in (it has been ultrasonically cleaned, but it may just help the fuelling).
The headlight is the standard Honda one, but I normally run the Acerbis one as this has dip / High beam.
Also comes with a box of spares and the original front mudguard.
