It works I rode 150 miles of the TET yesterday and started off with 24psi front and rear and gradually reduced that down 17psi over the day.
I will keep a log on here of there use and if any isusse .
Firstly when fitting the Tubliss make sure your rims are clean do exactly what it says in the instructions and use 150ml of Stans sealant rear and 100ml front.
I am at this time running an Army special front and a CO2 rear.
Any questions please dont hesitate.

The rims on a 690 are wider than an EXC. Different size rim locks are available.

Are the tubliss rim locks holding the tyre? When you fitted them, was the gap between the rear rim lock and inside edge of the rear rim, wider than usual?

The Army special front is speed rated as "M" or 130kmh, whereas a c-17 Dakar has an "R" rating of 170kmh. The carcass on an Army special is light compared to a c-17 or regular enduro tyre.

I've use a co2 on the 690 for long trail riding trips. They have a lot of tread to wear, but what they do have wears more than an E09 rally tyre or something like a Dunlop 908RR.

This pic of a CO2 was taken after riding a Sussex to Switzerland trailriding trip:

How are you getting on with the 690 tubliss?

i found that the 690 appears to have so much torque at the rear tyre that road use just killed them. went back to mousses and very happy :D

I have used mousses and have had no problems with them
The Tubliss experiment.
The tubbliss realy works well i have just compleated a two day ride around lancashire cumbria and the Dales with a mix of rocks mud ruts river crossings and nothing stopped the 690 and gearing 15t/48t.
Trip at a total of 380 miles .
I varied the PSI from 18 to 14 .on the rear and kept 18psi in the front I also marked the tyre and rim and no tyre slip
In light of all this i have no concernes whatsoever regarding the use of the tubeliss on the KTM 690 Enduro.
Regarding tyres I think the CO2 is great value for money I have found I get through two CO2 rear tyres then change the front.
And I ride it hard as if on my KTM 300.
Further to this I will be riding for 2 hours on the Mway and returning via the TET to home this trip will be around 160 miles i will further review the Tubliis.

There is no logical reason why that should happen.

The only way I can think that it might pertain is if the Tubliss inner bladder was not kept at a sufficiently high pressure. It doesn't matter how much torque there is; a 100psi 360 degree rim lock (which is what a Tubliss is) is more than capable of handling it.

As I seem to recall you are a Tubliss seller, can you receommned the fitment on a 690 rim (2.5x 18?). I think their website says 2.25.
Apart from knowing of Mike's pressure problems (I was there once), I am still interested in fitting them at some point. I do run about 80% road, 20% trail, if that makes a difference, and like a spirited if not overfast road ride, even on knobblies.

My thoughts were that the 690 rims are wider than EXC rims:

EXC: 1.6 front 2.15 rear

690: 1.85 front 2.5 rear

Maybe the tubliss struggles to seal/secure when used with the wider rims of the 690.

An advantage with tubliss is that you can run them at very low pressures - which would be pretty much the same as using a very soft and worn mousse on the 690! Good thing about the tubliss is that you can put the pressures back up for the motorway - can't do that with a mousse.

i tried tublis for this very reason....they didn't work at the time for whatever reason so i went back to mousses. My 690 has the standard rims...maybe this was the reason for failure. but fail they did

I can confirm that my 690 is as standard .
I also ride with others now using the Tubliss on standard 690 rims with no problems
