Post subject:  A place to arrange rides

Hey all
We recently set up a Facebook group to help organise rides centred around big bikes. The reasoning for it was two fold:

1) These bikes can travel more readily, so rides can be organised across regional groups, and for longer distances.
2) People had mentioned they were leery to join regular rides for fear of holding up the ride, or having to adjust the route for the larger bikes.

It's not meant to be exclusive, the idea was the everyone is welcome along, but that the routes and pace would be more friendly to these 200+kg machines.

If you're interested then the group is at https://www.facebook.com/groups/936006066459157/ If using Facebook is unpopular, then we can always use some other means. Perhaps if enough people want to, we can have a mailing list put together.

Happy to help out in the SE corner, and as you say easier to travel on the bigger bikes.

Having just go rid of my 800XC for a Cross Tourer, the adventures need to be a little less rugged on the big bike side.

Nice one Canute

As said having changed to a CrossTourer I wont be quite adventurous, but happy on some of the smoother lanes at some point.

I quite often run bigger bike runs/weekends, ranging from 660 tens to 950se's and do some one to one's with people new to taking there machines on to the rough stuff.
So more than happy to put a ride together or join other in other areas.
Off up to Yorkshire Dales next weekend mixing it up with the 990's..
