Post subject:  Rest and be Thankful.

Just back from a weeks touring in Scotland. Beautiful country, Shite weather.
Even found a nice easy lane provided by the forestry commision.
Tenere was almost flawless apart from a damp coil causing stuttering it perfomed incredibly. Laning 2 up heavily loaded on road tires didnt put a wheel wrong.
Rest and be thankful.

Felt like a moonshine runner on the way home. Loaded up with whisky at Ben nevis distillery. And then running for the border trying to escape the rain before it could reek havoc on the coil. Csnt wait to get the knobblies back on now im back :)

Cheers Gents, was a great trip. I dnt know what the score is with trail riding up there. I collared a forestry geezer, and asked him if i could ride any of the forestry tracks. He pointed me in the direction of the one in the pics.

Apart from that one he said there wasnt any more.in the area that could be legally ridden. i dnt know what else there is too ride. It sure is stunning though.

I didnt see 1 other tenere up there either. But 100s of GS thingys and trumph tigers. Was stopped a few times and asked, "whats that your riding"

Was it the gs riders asking you what your bike was? Wouldn't surprise me...

Only one GSer asked what it was, and he knew it was a tenere, (says it on the tank) but said hed never seen one in the flesh and thought they wer smaller.????? Was quute interested in it till he found out it was a 660 single. Said it wasnt powerful enough for him too tour on. Even though id just ridden it 2 up for 6 hours with more luggage than him haha. I think He though he was Charlie boreman.

The rest were Road riders. Kept asking the missus how the hell shed got all this way on that tiny seat haha.

Don't be to hard on GS owners, I have a GS and been up the same tracks (and many more) that you took the baby ten up.

Until last week I owned a baby ten as well, Unfortunately there's few legal tracks in Scotland.Thats one of the reasons I sold it, although I did take the ten over the Corriarick a couple of months ago.
