Hello - my name is Red and I have a large trailie bike, namely my XC Triumph Tiger. I have used it off road, but its heavy and highly geared. I also don't like the idea of dropping it, so slippery muddy winter rutted lanes are not on the agenda. So its some suitable lanes in suitable weather. In Sussex we have a few, so happy to share - please share yours. The advantage of using the Tiger is as I do not have a van or trailer, riding to new areas is no problem. |

Hi Red, looks like you've found some good places to ride. I also have the 800 XC and must say I am really impressed with it, coming straight from sports bikes this is quite a nippy bike. I would like to take it down some decent but not hard core tracks, just don't really know where to go! A few years ago I had an old xt600 tenere which I used to take along the pilgrims way from detling to chilham, running parallel to the a20, but they have put gates up now so you can't get in. I live in rainham kent, and would like to know some decent off road routes if you could recommend any? |

I am in East Sussex, so happy to show you a few around here that can be done on the tiger. Wanting to get back to Kent myself, but hopefully someone from Kent will read this, or you could start a new thread here. Yes the XC is better than expected really. I have gone down a front tooth. I have gone back to dual sport tyres due to using the bike for blood running, but still good on the not so muddy lanes. |

Permits are free of charge and you can get one from Kent County councils right of way dept. |
