I have one and it will do everything you are wanting it to do, as you say the extra weight will hinder it slightly compared with the 350 but keep that in mind and you'll be fine....choose your tyres wisely though as extra weight will go through the wrong tyre quickly.

I was speaking to the dealer yesterday, who is a very competent rider, he says the rear tyre is fine off road, especially this time of year
but be wary of the front, just go for something with more side tread.
The bike requires very few mods as well, rear number plate hanger, akropovic tail pipe, foam filter, rack and bag.

I test road it and i was really really impressed, rode to the dealer on my 1200gsa,then went out on it for about 10miles on the road, it felt so
much better than i thought it would, I should have one within weeks now.

My pleasure but some pressure :)

Glad you're liking it. It took me all of 30 seconds.

2 months in.... What are your feelings?

I had missed this thread earlier, but test rode both the SWM and Husky last year looking for a lightweight 5-600cc trail bike. I wanted relatively vibe free 70mph cruising with luggage capabilities to France/Spain and good off road capabilities. I found the Husky surprisingly more hardcore than I wanted, and felt the SWM had real potential for modding as a genuine all rounder as it was almost there (a good pedigree :-) ) Trouble was although lots of TE630 extras are out there they all had to come from the US or Oz! Cost... :-(

New Husky looks NICE and there are bits about such as a touring seat now... But how long until the CCM600???
