Dorset County Council has recently re-imposed the Temporary TRO on Hell Lane and Quarr Lane (both UCRs) in Chideock and Symondsbury parishes in West Dorset but motorcycles are now exempt.
These lanes were being wrecked by 4x4 activity and TRF reported this to DCC 2 years before the first TTRO appeared, banning all MPVs. I had said on many occasions that m/cs were not the cause but DCC did nothing and so the lanes were closed to all.
More lobbying has resulted in the lanes being open to us once again, after an 18 month ban, but owing to the cut-backs no remedial work will be carried out in the near future.
